A very simple lobster scampi recipe that can be made with fresh or canned lobster meat.
Ingredients:
- 8-10 oz cooked lobster meat
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 8 tsp minced garlic (about 15 cloves)
- 1 tsp paprika
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup white wine
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- If desired: a dash of hot pepper oil, crushed red pepper flakes, and/or 1 tbsp hot mustard
Melt butter and olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and brown slightly until fragrant. Whisk in the Worcestershire sauce, white wine, paprika, and mustard if desired. and simmer for 5 minutes. Add lemon juice and the lobster, and cook just long enough for the meat to become hot, to avoid toughening the precooked lobster.

While enjoying a lobster tail last night I came upon a triangular piece of what looked like a carrot in the wide end of the tail. Does anyone know what that was???
That is called the row (sp?) Basically like a liver.
The lobster is a vegetarian.
It has 0 grams of total fat, 420 mg’s of sodium, 1 grams of total carbs and less than 1 gram of protein in it. Don’t forget
Crockpot’s (slow cookers) are a great way to save money; My Crockpot (slow cooker) black beans are the easiest to make, taste great and are super inexpensive and healthy. Move any flammable objects away from the slow cooker.
It is roe, but roe are the eggs of the crustaceans and some fish.
